Slugs...spiders... and bunnies OH MY!

Just for the record my companions names are PROWS and CROCKETT... I don't know if I put their correct names before.. With the best mission president in the world CHOI.  Love them<3

Yes folks my header is nothing but 100% true.  here in Washington I've learned to watch where you step, otherwise you may squash a slimmy green, leopard print, or black fat and juicy slug.. yum. When it rains, they slug around every piece of cement they can.  It's sort of like hopscotch.  And don't look to closely or you'll see a gigantic spider right by your eye.
Walk around with pencil so you can knock down spider webs before you walk right into them.  some are apparently poisonous, doesn't that make it even more exciting.  But on the happiest note ever bunnies are everywhere.  They just hop freely and my companions think it's hilarious how I have to point out every single one of them.  Hey if it were my choice i'd catch them all and take them to our apartment with me.  We started the lovely morning out with a hike to a waterfall... ok so it's summer so it was just a stream, but it was still pretty!  I'm loving the lush environment here.  P-days are great, we even went to panda Express.   This week I also ate Ratatouille, that's right the Disney movie famous peasant dish.  It was awesome, and pretty tasty too.  I was happy.  I also ate seaweed, not the biggest fan not going to lie.  we went from having no food in our fridge when I got here, to me buying every fruit and produce in the grocery store, to being fed by every member and having an over flowing fridge of leftovers....  Ok the truth be know we have way to much food now... Guess what folks I weighed myself. Do you really want to know what the mission has given me as a souvenir thus far?  12 lbs.  so the diet starts today... or as us sisters call it "Fit for the kingdom nutritional plan".

So more on the spiritual end,   Our first miracles this week were to have the rarest of rare happen, Referrals.  two in the same day and one the next day.  Angels were singing in the back ground.  Although we haven't had the opportunity to meet the lovely folks yet I've already been praying for them and I have the highest of hopes.  One is about my age and has a friend leaving on a mission and is interested in what we do on missions.  Who better to talk to then us right:)

We had the opportunity to have dinner with the Stines On Monday night.  She has MS and is getting very weak but is the sweetest lady in the world.  She gave me a moo-moo
pajama and wants to give me a huge pile more of clothing. haha  At dinner we discussed becoming more Christ like in everything we do.  The husband explained his conversion process, where he started out to be atheist.  Now he's probably one of the most humble and giving people I know. and his story is just incredible, and everything I needed to hear at that moment.  He went through "a poor way man of grief" (or whatever the title is) and we read the scriptures that go with it.  It definitely changed my whole perspective of helping others, especially the homeless.  If anything this week I can come away saying that I want to develop more of the love of Christ in my life.  I need to be more willing to sacrifice myself for others.  90% of people who claim to know and follow God, truly don't.  There's so much more to it than just words and thinking you know him. You have to Dive into his life and then constantly apply his teachings.    On Friday my companion was feeling sick so we weren't able to go out all day.  It was the longest day ever, however I started reading Our Search For Happiness and I absolutely love it.  I'm already 3/4th the way through.  If everyone read it they'd be converted:)  The work may be progressing slower than maple syrup here and people may not want to be converted to the gospel in the missionaries time, but that's ok.  Because it's Heavenly Fathers plan not mine.  And I'm continually more converted each and every day.  :)

I'll end with a few funny ways people answered their doors to us this week :

1.) He said he knew the Mormons, we have a huge white church (why yes he described the temple). Well apparently that building took over his beloved bowling alley about twenty years ago... Yes he is still bitter.

2) Stacy (a man naturally) grew up in Tooele is whole life, refuses to catch the "Mormon bug" that we all have.  He does think it's ironic that our temple, stake building, dessert book and the dairy queen are all next to each other though. He thinks us Utahans are obsessed with our ice-cream...

Ok just some good highlights of the week.  of course there's always room for improvement in the mission field but as for my companionship we will never back down and will tackle this area if it means knocking on every door twice:)

LOVE YOU FAMILY!!! miss you like crazy.
