ADIOS USA!

Wow what an eventful, awesome, and lesson filled week to leave Seattle on.  Your right my time here has flown and I can officially say I don't want to leave this place.  It's become such a part of my mission and I adore my mission presidents. (sick of me saying that yet? hehe)  My time here will always be remembered, there are so many great memories and there are so many people here I have learned to love that i'm leaving behind. although this area was my shortest area (3 weeks long) it's been by far my favorite.  can you have favorites?  well too late.  I feel like there is SO much going on here and that just just two companionships (Spanish) for such a big chunk of Seattle just isn't enough.  Everyday we meet who are so prepared for the gospel (they just don't see it right of the back).  A highlight of my week was attending a baptism in the branch. Her name is Julia and the Elders taught her. Shes very frail and old but hilarious.  She has some serious spunk.  For example the elders warned her that she would be tried before her baptism.  That Satan would try to do all he could to not get her baptized.  Well this little old lady is at the grocery store and a young man comes up to help her and she says "Get away Satan."
which is even better sounding in Spanish... haha she just cracks me up.  This was the first baptism I've had the opportunity to attend since..... well I want to say Kennedy murdocks!  crazy.  I just ate it up, the spirit was like the fog of Seattle (everyday this week i've literally been living in a thick cloud of fog... it's sort of fun... like the really old car games on the 64 when you can't see the road until it's like a yard in front of you. YOSHIII!)  Since she was so old getting completely under the water was a struggle but have three attempts and the laying on of hands she's a member! She has the cutest smile, I may adopt her and bring her home with me.  I also received an awesome package from the family at home that I love so dearly, (they hymnal case was incredible. I love it so much and it means a bundle to me.. what a sentimental gift!) A letter from Rachel, BIG envelopes of joy from Bubbus, and a cinnamon burst from Cousin Marilyn.  That's right she just knows how to win this girls heart....  CARBS!  but not just any, Great harvest.  We also had a killer devotional this week ( from 9:00-4:00p.m.)  by president Johnson.  He was speaking to me directly has he answered so many questions and concerns I had floating around in my mind.  If you really want to pick an awesome super hero for the neighbors Halloween party pick the Prophet or one of the apostles. They really are super and sometimes I feel like they can read my mind.  Ok I know it's the spirit... i'm not "confused".  At this special devotional, our mission choir also got to sing!  we sang "A child's prayer" only my favorite since my tiny little chords could squeak out a tune.
My favorite Lesson this week was with Marta.  She is probably in her 20's.  She just loves us and although she can barely read the scriptures tries so hard.  She read a chapter WHICH IS HUGE.  She wants to learn so much more and I've excited to see her enter the waters of baptism (from Argentina).. I'll be there in spirit.

Well Again I'm moving to my next big adventure.  GO GO GO has been the theme so far.  I received my 8th companion today, Hermana pier and I only have her for two days.  Sorry not much details on my flight plans out. 12:35 Thursday on american airlines to Dallas is as far as I've gotten.  Getting people to tell me details is like pulling teeth!  goodness. But hey maybe you'll get a call from me:)  hopefully. so stay off the lines all day ok... can you do that mom:)  I love you very much and guess what?? the next time you hear from me i'll be IN A DIFFERENT COUNTRY!!!!

ADIOS USA HELLO STEAK AND TANGO!  (goodbye English ;(  )

"I attempted to make chumporrado (ooops miss spelled) this week!  I was soooo close... only thing missing... i'm not Hispanic.  There "recipe"  is pretty much a God Given talent as all I ended up making was a very thick goo of well nothing like the heaven sent hot drink... oh well I have enough ingredients to try three more times.. haha"

Was it Halloween or Christmas? Look at all this good stuff!

"Cinnamon Burst from Cousin Marilyn"
"Halloween fun from the family...in the envelopes"
"...and out of the envelopes"
