mom
and dad please thank the karen family, kinnersleys, bishopric and
dials.. I have received thanksgiving and christmas cards from them and
things on the relief society. THe ward sends me great stuff and I really
appreciate it... yup still receiving christmas stuff :)
number one, I cant believe richard visited tinnie,
my mind was blown as I thought about how crazy of an experience that
would be... still dont believe it, but the picture helps. I hope you
filmed it too. how crazy, I think my heart would stop in its tracks!
DAD FELICIDADES!!! after your letter I have decided I
am going to start saving my pesos so they can build a Pierre here in
argentina. Italy has david we need a pierre. That is so great, and I am
totally singing along with you Joseph. you WALKING WORK OF ART! haha
also thanks for the dets on my town! THATS RIGHT MY SEAHAWKS TOOK IT
ALL!!! welcome to the best mission in todal el mundo! I was so proud of
them, andn cant wait to cheer them on with the teli when I return,
celebrating is a bit more rough in a different country. And the
olympus, here on the radio we hear the theme song but thats about all we
get.... Send me the hits I love this event! russia... burrrr, I have a
lot of missionary friends there... four in fact. and to the meat
question, we eat milanasas more than anything, giant thin chicken
fingers! but the meet is so cheap here, my comp and I buy loads of it
every week! and CHEESE! yum! never want to leave this place, or bring
the cows with me!
Alright for my week,
I
promised bubbus a story last week and I will start out with it right
now... So I wake up in the middle of the night and I have to go the
bathroom so badly! I considered wetting my bed because I honestly
couldnt muster up the strength to get off my top bunk and head to the
bathrooom. but being the more mature teenerage I am I did it... so
stummbling to the bathroom I remember my companion the other day saying
she foundn a cockroach before going to bed but didnt kill it (she
refuses to kill anyhting, even an ant... she is terrrified of them...
blahaha) anyways being wise I turn on the light and blind myself only
to see my worst nightmare coming to life right before my squinty
eyeballs.... 8 very large cockroaches crawling around the floor...
EIGHT!!! and they are blocking my way to the toilet! I started
instantly donig a freakout dance because I ahve about t-minus 30 seconds
before I explode. Moral of the story its probably a really good thing
My bladder took control of my brain because otherwise I would have left
the place running. well since the things dont die (literally) I came
up with the soltion of scooping them up with the dust pan and flushing
them down the toilet.. they are fast but I am faster. All is well and
they are off swimming somewhere but now I literrally have a fear of
going to the bathroom at night.... america spiders are nothing now...
nothing...
now for the more spiritual side of things, Family I
love my mission. I dont know if you fully know that, but I can
officially say that after 3 months in argentina this place is great! I
have come over the hill to grandmothers house and back, because
orginally I waanted nothing to do with this place and now i never want
to leave. ok yes so 25 de mayo helps a lot, why? because of the people.
I just love friendly people. But not only that I have changed how I do
missionary work, The LORDS way.. My companion and I are the best of
friends and this helps, we both have 3 months here in argentina, we came
in the same day. the only difference I came from seattle she came from
othe mtc. Because we both consider ourselve young we are learning a lot
together! we both want to be the best we can be, and are constantly
repenting and becoming better together. we are the A-TEAM! from not
liking justin bieber to having the same favorite colors we are the same.
My columbia twin. This week we focused on puttingn everyone we talked
to on date. we went from not having one to having five. and Every prayer
we ask for a family that is married. well our miracle came true as we
found one!!!! thats right, a family of 7. We taught the mom and the
kids lesson three last week, whichi is El envangelio de Jesucristo.
This week we went back and blessed rain would have it, he wasnt working
because of the weather (this place is under a heavy cloud as floods are
on high alert) He and his wife had talked and he wanted to hear our
message as well, now he is not any ordinary father. No he didnt believe
in God until about 2 years ago, now he is teaching himself to read with
the bible and believes that with faith you can move mountains! HE IS
ORO!! We had the biggest blessing of teaching him with his WIFE and
their five kids the restoration. I have never been more nervous but
calmed my way through it. Every question we asked he answered perfectly!
¿do you think it is important to have a prophet to guide us today?
YES! ¿do you think it is important to be baptized the same way Jesus
Chist was with the same authority? YES! I wish I could have engraved
the lesson in my mind to replay exactly to you. better than the
district. My comp and I left on cloud 9 as we have a wonderful family!
Keep Monica and Philini in your prayers and their family as I am going
to work night and day to see this family enter those pearly gates with
me! It has been the high light of my week and maybe in my life!
Mission joy is the best kind.
Remeber the family Miguens? THe ones that
threatened us with plant poison the first week? yah we are now their
best friends and we eat with them every saturday.goingn from refusing missionary visits for 8 years to her coming back to church, MIRACLES HAVE NOT CEASED TO EXIST!!!
I guess you could say I had a good week.... haha
Love you all to drought covered plains to the apartment flooded
argentina... who knew that all those years in our house I was being
prepared for this! thanks family. and have a wonderful week.
