Stale Cookie

Hello Good old 801!

To start out I would like to make a shout out to very special people in my life,
1. Sarah Cope, Today we all know it is your special day, and to celebrate I brought myself a big old salad and will be eating chocolate in honor of you!  Being away from you today is going to be difficult as we always celebrate together, and go loco during march madness birthdays!  I am so extremely grateful for grandma for giving birth to you today and I am so very grateful to follow the line of your daughter!  I wouldn't take my looks away for anything, because I look like my mom :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! go be spoiled! (hint family)
2.  Leah Rebecca, I saw the pictures of the blessing and about lost it... ok you caught me I lost it!  what a beautiful baby girl dressed in white!  the first blessing and I can image it was heaven directed!  I would not have missed the moment for anything but this mission, seriously she is an angel!

Alright lets just jump dive right into this week, shall we!  This week was just an average stale cookie.... you know, a stale cookies isnt all that good, but you eat it anyways and when you stumble upon the  the chocoloate chips you are happy. even thought they are still stale (hello its chocolate). Well that's about my week!  we had some good chocoloate of chip moments which I will be focusing on!

We taught our first English class (that we taught) and we had a great turn out!  Everyone gathered together and we sang I am a child of god in English, I kept singing the words in Spanish... we worked on pronunciation and after thinking I have had a fat tongue for 5 months because I cant roll my Rs I have decided I just have an american tongue. None of the argentinos can say the th sound so turns out my tongue is normal. Just slightly challenged!  I love English class but I often find myself saying English words with Spanish vowels. haha Isn't learning languages fun!  YES SIR!

Alright here is a story for you all, grab some popcorn and a pepsi (ooo pepsi...)  and enjoy.  So Thursday night we have a lesson set up with florencia and luis. These are investigators of the hermanas that became ours when they abandoned their area and it was melted into ours.  Well we saw this wonderful couple in the super market. since we didnt know them they came up to us and introduced themselves. They are getting married this up coming week and have a baby girl. GOLDENS!  well my comp and I showed up for the lesson and were welcomed in by a family friend.  Here we are sitting around the table the five of us, getting ready to dive into a prayer and in walks two men.  we introduced ourselves and they did as well, we were surprised to find out they were two missionaries as well for the church enventista.  uhhhh this is strange?  So it turns out they are enventistas... alll of them and we are going to have  a chat with some other missionaries... my heart starts pounding... in walks another member of their Church... then another... then another... then another.... alright my heart stops as we know have Nine members of there congregation, two of which are missionaries, and two of which are ex mormons... thats right they invited ex mormons to our lesson!  so pretty much we walked into the biggest trap of all time!  It was an interesting hour, but I would like you to all know I played it cool while the inside of my body was on a six flag rollercoaster... man those G"s are killer....  we came out shocked, questioning what in the world just happened! I cant even remember what we talked about as my mind was on panic mode, but all I could do was laugh. And laugh I did, that's about all I could do!  thanks hermanas thanks! at one point we talked about why the sabath is on Sunday and not Saturday, one of them started questioning my english...
"what does sunday mean" -them
 uhhhh SUN  DAY"   -me
"exactly everyday is a different planet except saturday right, because they created everything except on saturday making it the sabath." -them
(my companion chips in)  "saturday is for saturn no? a planet"
.....you should have seen there faces... hahah they were so confused, hahah trying to out smart me with my own language.
oh and the worst part was, we forgot our bibles!!! haha they have 12 bibles out on the table and we didnt bring one... oops. haha  BOOK OF MORMON POWER! Ok so that was our crazy story this week, to ever more go down in history as the day we were once again preached to, by a whole congregation...  Now I feel like they have placed me as an investigator category for their Church. yikers.

Thats about the gems of my week, Gabriela and diego the juntados, want to be baptised!  can you believe it!  She mentioned it and I practically fell of my chair with excitment! they still have to get married, but they finally see the importance!  their son will be baptised in the next few weeks!!!  :)

THANKS FOR THE PACKAGES! I will be opening them today in about an hour and I am stoked!!!

Love you to the luna and back!  :)
