definitely not mooooooving out! (that's right the cows
are still singing and I ain't leaving good ole 25 de mayo.) Neither my
companion, we have another transfer together and we couldn't be more
thrilled about it. So to celebrate we bought a kilo of ice cream and a
nice fat steak. Yum! There were some changes though as one of the
three areas here closed and with that went two of our sisters. this
upcoming week we are welcoming in a martimonio couple, which means
instead of having an 18 year old elder as the president of our rama we
are going to have Him! its the family ashton, who I adore! I am
thrilled! so what happens to the area of the other sister missionaries?
well it dissolves into ours! so this week we are going to be working
with all of there investigators and our area is twice as big! and they
have a lot more country side and dirt roads. My thighs are going to be
toned! haha So that's it for transfer news, in 5 more weeks I will have
more juicy details!
FOr the last two months corso has been going on every Saturday
night without fail. well today and tomorrow is a two day special event
of an all day corso... wooo .... so everything is shut down,
EVERYTHING! luckily we have a very nice member that is letting me
communicate with you! and to start out I am once again going to copy
christines idea... (like always.. hehe tinnie!) MISSION LIFE ON A
BIKE.... ARGENTINA STYLE!
1. always and I mean always keep your mouth tightly
closed when on the bike. IF you open it even the slightest you'll be
chocking down a some sort of bug. Moral: Don't ever give Satan a foot
in the door (or in the mouth) if you do, he will take advantage and
then for the rest of the day you have a bad taste in your mouth.
2. when a dog is spotted near your horizon start
biking as fast as you can and pick up your feet. moral: when
temptation is near... RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN... because if you don't...
it will bite you. better safe than sorry.
3. A helmet serves for many purposes... branches and
the sun, and makes a mom happy. So does reading the scriptures. Mom
are you happy that I am reading the scriptures?
4.
never leave anything on your bike that you wish to keep... especially
yummy homemade brownies... Moral: I need to focus on teaching the basic
10 commandments to people. apparently its common to steal when
chocolate is involved.
5. You are given only one bike (or one life to live) and you better cherish it because IT IS THE BEST!
6.
When having a bad day bike really fast and say to yourself... "RIDE
LIKE THE WIND".. Moral of the story, I always have people cheering me on
from the side lines and it always gets me through the day!
Well folks this week was another good one! My companion and I focused on completing all our goals and "key indicators" by Friday just as president recommends. that way we were able to focus on our progressing investigators on Saturday and members and less actisves on Sunday.
This week felt like the longest of my life, but also one of the best.
My highlight was teaching a juntado (gabriela and diego) about the
temple and the plan of salvation. We have taken a couple of nothing but
doubts and seen them begin reading the Book of Mormon, attending church,
wanting their son to get baptized, and they are going to get their
marraige papers together!!! Pray for this family. Lessons on the
temple are my favorite because everyone wants eternal happiness and
Families forever! Sunday
I got up to bare my testimony and when looking around two of our
investigators had snuck in! So once again we had 5 investigators in
sacrament meeting with 8 people on date for march 22!!
Lets just call it march madness!! My companion and I are so blessed
here as everyday we see more people come unto Christ! LOVE IT!
Oh don't forget to check out the mission blog, hermana carter is really good at updating it!
LOVE YOU ALL
