well folks this week is going to be a
short one because I sent lots of pics... so thats really a lot more than
words can say anyways...
we started out with our activity
with the barrior the last monday. Super fun, we ate hamburgers the size
of my head that are just delicious! nothing beats the meat here, its
fantastic! we played soccer, voli, and basketball, I felt so freee!!!
haha it was a hoot to play with all the kids and parents and it ended up
beingi a really good turnout!
Tuesday
we had lunch with a less active family. it was the first time I had
met most of them. well anyways after eating, I didnt know what scripture
I wanted to share... usually I just open up to the nearest
missionaryish scriputure but this time I just opened the book and read
the first scripture I set my eyes on. which can be risky... haha
naturally it happend to be in ether 12 but I didnt want to use number
4... we use that one a lot, so I picked 12! it says ¨porque si no hay
fe entre los hijos de los hombrfes, dios no puede hacer ningun milagro
entre ells, por tanto, no se mostro sin hasta despues de su fe¨ I
started talking about faith and where they were all at in this moment, I
asked them all indiviually about their conversion and before you knew
it the spirit just it us all so strongly. The Familiy galdon in this
moment needed to recognize that they have faith, and that they need to
strength it, and the best way is sharing it. During this short time I
felt so much love from them for our Savior. it ended up beingi the best
lunch I have had in the mission. We all left in tears as It was
practically a fireside testimony meeting. The soon to be missionary
walked out with us and expressed his deepest gratitude for our visit.
That they had really been struggling and it was the biggest blessing to
see the family be touched and strengthened. I have a big testimony now
of why we really eat with the members sometimes we over look that the
members need the biggest help and that we have an obligation to love
them and serve them just like we would anyone else. in this lunch, my
comp and saw the fruits of full out following the promptings of the
spirit.
I was treated to my very first all out asado... we ate like kings! I
have now officially tried every part of the cow I am pretty sure,
insides and outsides. and I ate a whole one I am pretty sure. Argentinos
usually eat an asado once a week... I cant imagine that! haha oh maybe
I can? its just a giant barbaque with cow, pig, chicken, lamb, you
name it. I had to just giggle a little bit thinking of tinnie and
rachel trying to attempt to eat what I ate. And ate a big old bite for
bubbus knowing that our cultures are closer than ever every day... I
love asados! yummmm! I still dont need to eat.. full as can be three
days later!
